The newly constructed Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport was opened in October 2011, the same year Winnipeg’s NHL hockey team “The Winnipeg Jets” returned to the city.
The airport is the 8th busiest airport in Canada and was build to handle foreseeable growth.
